The Library Catalog

You'll find a link to the online catalog (also called "Book Catalog") on the left hand navigation menu of every page in the COA Library website.

The COA Library catalog, called OneSearch, includes books and other materials located in the COA Library and will point you to their location on the shelf. It also contains materials owned by other Peralta Community College Libraries (PCCD Libraries) including Laney College Library, Merritt College Library and Berkeley City College Library. To access the COA Library catalog, go to the Library webpage and click on Library Catalog.

Use the Catalog:

  • to find out what books the library owns on your topic
  • to find where a specific item is located in the library and whether it is available
  • to find which materials your instructor has placed on Reserve
  • to find out which magazines and newspapers the library subscribes to in print (by searching the name of the magazine or newspaper).  NOTE: The library has access to thousands of online magazine and newspaper articles that are not listed in the library catalog and you will need to use the library’s article databases (found on the library webpage under Article Databases) to search for these online articles by topic.
