Searching on the Internet

There are two main ways to find what you need on the internet:

Use a known address

If you know the website that you are searching for, type the URL in the search box of your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari) and press Enter. Be sure to check for typos!

Use a search engine

If you are doing a general search on a subject, or if you do not know the correct URL for the web page you would like to visit, use a search engine. Popular search engines include: Google, Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo.
