We covered three different types of confidence intervals:
One-sample Z-interval: ¯x±Zc⋅σ/√n, where σ is the population standard deviation (when it is known) and n is the sample size.
One-sample T-interval:¯x±Tc⋅s/√n, where s is the sample standard deviation and n is the sample size.
Two-sample T-interval:(¯x1−¯x2)±Tc⋅{(√s1squared/n1)+(s2squared/n2)}, where we use the sample statistics from two independent samples.
