Canvas Quizzes

There will often be companion questions, practice questions or self-study "prequiz".

The material will be directly from lecture or the posted video lectures and should be relatively easy to complete. However, to encourage you to think while you read, some questions will be harder, so quizzes are not trivial. Some may feel repetitive, and some quizzes will have overlapping material. This is to help begin to ingrain material.

The goal of these quizzes is to encourage you to practice. Some are to prepare for class. Some are therefore due BEFORE class. Practice questions are meant to be spaced out. Therefore due dates are enforced to maintain a good pace.

However, because they are meant to be practice, quizzes / questions can be repeated until you get it correct. If you can't get something correct, please contact me and we can work on it together. There may also be errors. I ask for your patience. Let me know and I'll fix it.

ANSWERS ARE RANDOMIZED. So don't simply pick the same letter on your second try assuming it will be the same. Also, some questions labeled "MARK ALL THAT APPLY" have multiple answers. You will have to select all correct answers for full credit.

There MAY BE MULTIPLE QUIZZES due.

Warnings:

Do not wait until the last minute to do these quizzes. Canvas downtime is NOT an excuse. If you wait until the night before and canvas is not working, you will NOT be exempted.

Check your quiz grade as soon as it is completed to make sure that it is registered properly. If you do not contact me immediately and prior to class about recording issues, your grade will NOT be adjusted. Your lowest quiz score will be dropped so that should take into account any reasons for missing a quiz. If you forget to do a quiz, that will be your dropped quiz. You will NOT be allowed to make it up.
