Welcome to History of Dance– 41195

My name is Dr. Andrea Lee, and I have been teaching dance at Laney College since 2009. I am deeply committed to community college education and to teaching dance as both an academic discipline and an expressive art form. The Laney College Dance Department has a proud history of serving the community for more than 50 years, offering students a wide array of dance courses and program pathways.

This course is a 100% asynchronous online lecture class, with no face-to-face sessions. This is also a lecture-only class (no physical movement component). Students enroll for many reasons: to fulfill requirements for the A.A. in Dance, to meet general education or transfer requirements, or simply for personal enrichment. Whatever your reason for being here, I’m glad you’ve joined us!
